McHenry County YMCA members will notice some added benefits, as the Y of Metropolitan Chicago is now the owner of the former YMCA of McHenry County.

Perks include access to all Y of Metro Chicago facilities throughout Chicagoland. Members also will begin to see new programs and services, including ActivTrax—a web-based training and nutrition program—a benefit included in all Y of Metro Chicago memberships. Membership rates are unchanged through 2011.

In addition, starting March 20, the McHenry Y will offer extended hours on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
