Area Businesses Offer Deals for Small Business Saturday

This year’s Small Business Saturday is Nov. 26 and is meant to promote small businesses in communities.

It's the second year for Small Business Saturday, and some businesses in Lake in the Hills will be running deals, specials and sales with the hopes of drawing customers in over the busy shopping weekend.

Below, we've listed a couple of businesses that will be offering specials on Nov. 26. If you own a small business or home business that will be offering deals this Saturday, let the community know by commenting below.

• Free incense with a purchase of an incense burner ($2.99 value)
• Buy two, get one free music, TV, movie 11- by 14-inch prints, $4.99 each
• Three for $50 T-shirts, $19.99 each
• Two for $50 animal hat/scarf combos, $29.99 each
• Two for $20 jewelry, $14.99 mix and match (necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings)
• Buy two, get one free bellybutton rings and nose studs
• Buy two, get one free clearance items

Sprint/Nextel has several locations throughout the area and is offering deals for small businesses Saturday, said Marc Schlaiss, a Sprint business representative for Lake in the Hills, Huntley and Algonquin.

• Sprint is running a small business deal that with any smartphone “port-in” from another carrier you will get $125 credit when activating a new smartphone through Sprint.
• Sprint is featuring the HTC EVO 3D for $99 and the Samsung Galaxy Tablet for $249 for businesses. No activation fees when set up with a corporate account number along with no upgrade fees when deemed a corporate account.
• Sprint also can discount rate plans from 10 percent to 24 percent.
