Algonquin-LITH Chamber Hires New President

Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce announces new president.

The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Chamber of Commerce has selected a new leader. 

After an extensive search, Katrina McGuire has been hired as the chamber's new president, according to a chamber news release.  

"Katrina's skills and background will be important to help move the chamber forward to accomplish our goals and vision for the future," the release stated. 

McGuire has 18 years of experience in executive leadership for non-profit organizations.

Most recently, McGuire was the director of development and interim executive director for Russian Leadership Ministries in Wheaton. 

She has also held leadership positions with the Rochester Auburn Hills Community Coalition in Rochester Hills, Mich. and Career Education Corporation in Schaumburg, the release states.

She has been active in many civic and charitable organizations including currently serving as vice president of Hooves to Heal, NFP, an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of mentally and physically challenged children and adults through equine therapy.

McGuire earned a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from William Tyndale College and is currently completing an master of science degree in business administration with a concentration in leadership through Central Michigan University. 

She and her family reside in Lake in the Hills.
