Algonquin Commons Continues to Grow Despite Foreclosure Lawsuit
The Algonquin Commons has added several news tenants in the past couple years.
A foreclosure lawsuit against the owners of the Algonquin Commons has not slowed business and the shopping center currently has an occupancy rate over 95 percent, according to the Northwest Herald.
U.S. Bank National Association filed a $110 million foreclosure lawsuit against Oak Brook-based Inland Real Estate Corp. after the owners stopped making mortgage payments on the Algonquin Commons in the summer 2012, according to the Northwest Herald.
While the Algonquin Commons lost several stores between 2007 and 2011, the shopping center has built up its tenant base in recent years with new stores and restaurants, including Half Price Books, Gordmans, Charming Charlie and Niko's Lodge, according to the article.
