Red Raiders Defeat Trojans; 5-0 in Valley Division
The Huntley Red Raiders varsity boys basketball team defeated Cary-Grove 41-32 on Tuesday night to stay in first place in the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division standings.
For the first 14:30 of the game Tuesday night it looked like Huntley Red Raiders boys basketball team would roll right over the Cary-Grove Trojans.
Huntley jumped out to a 12-0 lead before Cary-Grove scored their first point and finished the first quarter up 20-3.
The Raider defense did not let up in the second quarter as they held the Trojans scoreless until the 1:27 mark in the quarter.

The Trojans were not going down without a fight however and finished the quarter with 6 consecutive points to trail 28-9 at halftime.
Cary-Grove outscored the Raiders in the third period (15-11) to close the gap to 39-24.

Despite a very sloppy fourth quarter by Huntley, where they only scored two free throws, the Red Raiders held on for a 41-32 victory.
Senior Troy Miller hit 4 3-pointers on the night and finished with 15 points to lead Huntley.
Bryce Only added 8 and Jake Brock 7 as Huntley improved to 16-2 overall and 5-0 in the Valley Division.
Huntley travels to Dundee-Crown on Saturday night to take on the 4-0 Chargers in a battle for first place in the Valley.
