UPDATE: Comedian Larry Miller Cancels Raue Center Show for Jan. 12

Actor/comedian Larry Miller, who has appeared in more than 100 film and television shows, was scheduled to appear at the Raue Center for the Arts on Saturday, Jan. 12.


According to the Raue Center for the Arts, this show has been cancelled. Ticket holders with any questions regarding this performance should call the Box Office at 815-356-9212.

On Tuesday, ABCNews.com reported Miller, 58, had recovered from a life-threatening injury he sustained in April when he fell and hit the back of his head on concrete outside the Toluca Lake, Calif., studio where he records his podcast.

According to the ABCNews.com article, Miller had been in a coma for two weeks and placed in intensive care at UCLA Medical Center, where he was kept in a medically induced coma for a month. Miller is expected to recover, and will return to work on his podcast series “This Week With Larry Miller” on Wednesday, ABCNews.com reported.

Comedian/ actor Larry Miller returns to the Raue Center for the Arts at 8 p.m on Saturday, Jan. 12, in Crystal Lake.

Miller is "one of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces," and has appeared in more than 100 film and television show, according to a Raue press release. 

Miller began his career with a memorable scene in the blockbuster film, "Pretty Woman," and has since gone on to unforgettable roles in television shows and movies such as "The Princess Diaries," "The Nutty Professor," "Seinfeld" and "Ten Things I Hate About You."

The actor also has made dozens of appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Real Time with Bill Maher," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "NCIS," "HBO specials" and more.

As host of the podcast, "This Week with Larry Miller" for the Ace Broadcasting Network, Miller "unleashes a barrage of humor about the absurdities of daily life." He can also be heard weekly on the most-downloaded podcast on iTunes, "The Adam Carolla Show."

Miller is a contributing humorist to The Huffington Post and The Weekly Standard, and author of the best-selling book "Spoiled Rotten America."

He is currently touring the country with his one-man show, "Cocktails with Larry Miller: Little League, Adultery and Other Bad Ideas."
