Several Patch readers have asked if we knew what was taking place this week at the former Snyder's Service Station at 28841 W. Roberts Rd., in Port Barrington.

Residents driving past the location reported seeing trailers, film crews, equipment and police.

"Would love to know myself what is going on as I pass this little station every day on my way to work," Christina Lynn posted on Patch.

"Do you know what has been going on at the Fox River Marina and Snyder's gas station on Roberts Road, lots of semi trucks and cops for the last 2 days," posted Tom Kaiser on our Facebook.

We now have the answer, straight from the Village of Port Barrington.

The service station was used to film scenes for ABC's TV drama "Betrayal," which airs Sundays at 9 p.m.

Though residents may have seen action at the location for days, Donna Erfort, a Village of Port Barrington staffer, said actual filming only took place on Monday, Dec. 9.

The vintage-looking building, which came on the market a year ago and is selling for $95,000, has attracted film crews before, said Erfort, but it's still exciting for the small community.

"Who knows if it will make the cut," she said of the show's season finale, airing Jan. 19.

Betrayal is only in its first season, having debuted in late September. The show tells the story of love, sex, marriage and treachery, according to ABC.
