McDonald’s Shamrock Shake

Treat yourself to a delicious green, minty-sweet Shamrock Shake at McDonalds. The end is here for this seasonal milkshake so don’t waste time. There are two McDonald’s locations: 500 E. Algonquin Road and 125 S. Randall Road.

St. Patrick's Day Millionaire Raffle

Check your numbers and see if you’ve got Irish luck up your sleeve! Every year the Illinois Lottery holds a special St. Patrick's Day Millionaire Raffle, which only a limited number of tickets sold to increase odds of winning. Tickets, which are now sold out, at $20 a pop. Drawing is at 10 p.m. on WGN9.

Tilted Kilt

The Elgin location, 2300 Bushwood Drive, is a St. Patty’s Day celebration for adults. Wedding Banned hits the stage at 10:30 p.m. with Lounge Puppets starting the party at 8 p.m. There will be drink specials, Irish fare and a patio party. For more information, go to elgin.tiltedkilt.com.

Barrington Celtic Fest

Starts on St. Pats day and continues through Friday. The fest is centered around Barrington’s new Irish Pub, McGonigals, and includes a large tent with live music all day, Irish dancers, Irish brew and an Irish menu.

St. Patrick’s Day Open Jump N’ Pizza

Head to Pump It Up, 1095 Pingree Rd, Crystal Lake. Thursday, March 17 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Kids will love playing on the oversized obstacle courses, slides and more, and dinner of pizza and drinks and a St. Patrick’s Day treat are included. The cost is $12 per child, $6 per adult. Tickets available in advance at the Pump It Up website.
