Moms Talk: Are You, Your Kids Giving Up Anything For Lent?

Do your kids give up something in the days leading up until Easter?

While typically a Christian ritual, giving up a treat or habit such as candy, coffee or Cabernet during Lent is practiced by as a form of self-discipline in the days leading up to Easter.

Today is Ash Wednesday -- the beginning of Lent. Many across the area have or will make their pledges to give up some of their favorite things for the next forty days.
