UPDATE: Metra Trains Stopped in Barrington

Five trains currently stuck at stop.

Area commuters who use the Metra could be late for work if they took one of five trains that are stopped on the Northwest line.

Inbound train 610, which is scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 7:22 a.m., is currently stopped at the Barrington train station with mechanical problems.  

The train has caused four other trains to be stuck behind it. Train 614 scheduled to arrive Chicago at 7:41 a.m., train 616, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 7:55 a.m., train 618, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 7:56 a.m., train 622, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 8:13 a.m. and train 624, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 8:26 a.m. are all currently stopped on the metra Northwest line.

The trains are currently anywhere between 30 and 50 minutes late as of 7:30 a.m.
