Every year the Founders' Committee chooses an individual, couple or group of people to honor for their past and/or ongoing commitment to the festival.

Every year the Founders’ Committee chooses an individual, couple or group of people to honor for their past and/or ongoing commitment to the festival.

The committee looks for people who have given of themselves, not for personal or business gain, but rather, for personal pride and satisfaction of being part of the Founders’ Team. The two main qualifications are dedication and perseverance. This year we are proud to honor Dr. Tim Stirneman.

Dr. Timothy Stirneman is a 1990 graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry and has dedicated his career to making a difference in people’s lives.

He and the team at All Smiles Dental are committed to providing patients with the highest quality of dentistry and exceptional customer service. Dr. Stirneman has completed various advanced postgraduate courses including Orthodontic Training and Neuromuscular Dentistry from the Las Vegas Institute. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, McHenry County Dental Society and the Algonquin Dental Study Club.

Dr. Stirneman has made Algonquin his home for the last 21 years and was head of the Algonquin Project Playground to build Angeltowne Park. He feels a great deal of pride for Algonquin and is dedicated to giving back to the community. Just a few of the ways he does that are by visiting schools as The Wizard of Teeth and speaking to children during Children’s Dental Health Month, holding food drives and toy drives and running the Children’s Games for Founders Days. He is an avid follower of sports and has an inviting sense of humor that will turn any fear into laughter.
