Cary Farmers Market Opens This Weekend

Nearly 30 vendors will be present on opening day of the Cary Farmers Market on Sunday, June 1.

The market features a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, cheeses, baked goods, herbs, flowers, plants and much more. 

The Cary Farmers Market will be held every Sunday from June 1 through September 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It is located in the North commuter parking lot near the intersection of High Road and W. Main Street in downtown Cary.

Throughout the season the market selection will vary, but items have included fresh vegetables such as corn, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, eggplant, beets, squash, radishes, peas, green beans, spinach, and several varieties of tomatoes; organic produce, fresh fruits such as apples, peaches, berries, several varieties of peaches, plums, nectarines, raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries; baked goods such as coffee cakes and breads; and specialty items such as jellies, salad dressings, herbs, spices, flowers, plants, and more. Each week the selection will vary.

The first Sunday of each month the market will feature special events, outdoor music and extra vendors. Free Chamber shopping bags will be given to the first 100 shoppers, free bags of groceries will be raffled off, and there will be outdoor music on June 1, July 6, August 3 and September 7.
