Algonquin Seeks Artists for Art on the Fox

The Village of Algonquin and Algonquin Public Arts Commission is organizing the seventh annual “Algonquin’s Art on the Fox” fine art show to be held June 14 - June 15, 2014.

The fine art show will take place outdoors at Riverfront Park along the Fox River and is open to participation by artists who create work of original design and execution in a variety of media, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, glass, and photography.

New for 2014 is an enhanced event website, www.artonthefox.com, which includes links to the artist application, business sponsor opportunities and visitor information. The early-bird artist application deadline is Jan. 15, which offers a $25 discount on the booth fee.

The fine art show is organized by the Algonquin Public Arts Commission, which has implemented the village of Algonquin’s annual public art program since 2005.

Each year, this award-winning program arranges exhibits for professional and student artists in the community, with the overall effect of making Algonquin’s place in the Fox River Valley more unique.
