Algonquin Garbage Collection Resumes at Reduced Level, Some Residents May See Delays

Waste Management is operating garbage collection services in Algonquin at a reduced level today.

Waste Management is operating garbage refuse and recycling collection services Tuesday, Jan. 7, at a reduced level, according to the village of Algonquin website.

Some residents may experience a two-day collection delay.

Due to weather conditions on Monday, Waste Management could not conduct pickup services for garbage and recycling.

Collection services will be delayed by at least one day for the remainder of the week, and Friday route services will be run on Saturday, according to the village.

Residents should note Christmas tree collection has been suspended for this week due to the weather. Collection will resume next week starting Jan. 13.
