The McHenry County Community Foundation Facilitates Regional Conversations about Community

McHenry County Community Foundation, Neighbor

The idea to create both The McHenry County Community Foundation, as well its parent The Chicago Community Trust, were sparked during a mealtime conversation. We are returning to our roots and looking to generate ideas, inspire solutions and cultivate collaborations to improve our community.

On Monday, May 12, thousands of Chicago-area residents – including many in McHenry County – will participate in intentional, mealtime conversations about the future of our communities as part of a region-wide initiative called On the Table.

These civic-minded conversations among colleagues, neighbors, friends or strangers will move beyond the heat of political debate, transcend news-of-the-moment gabfests, and progress toward meaningful ideas to strengthen our neighborhoods and communities.
