Light of Christ Coats for Lakewood Students

A social worker from Lakewood School in District 300 contacted Pastor Sharon of Light of Christ saying"We have lots of kids who really could use a coat".  Thrivent Financial was contacted and offered a $1,000 grant and Walmart offered an additional $100 to purchase the coats.  When the word got out about the needs, there were additional funds given to make the purchases.  Three people joined Pastor Sharon to shop for 56 coats, hats and gloves.  This is just another example of Light of Christ helping the people in the area.  Pictured are Pastor Kendall and Robert Wenig among some of the coats with a sign thanking Thrivent.
