The Village of Algonquin and the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County are sponsoring the local celebration of the statewide initiative “It’s Our River Day” from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21.
The day will focus on a river clean-up, hearing from members of the Jelkes Creek and Fox River Watershed Coalition, and fun for all ages.
The event is free, and open to everyone at Cornish Park, 101 South Harrison St., Algonquin.
