Lunch-Loving Little Brother in Need of Positive Adult Role Model

For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 14, living in McHenry County. There are currently 40 children on our waiting list for a Big Brother or Big sister. Do you know someone who would make the perfect Big Brother for waiting Little Brother Hector?

Nine year old Hector can be shy at first, but is very funny and already thinks he is a ‘Lady’s Man.’ He likes to build rockets, play video and board games, go swimming, and watch movies. Hector wants his future Big Brother to know that he really loves food, and lunch is his favorite part of the day!

Hector lives alone with his mother and doesn’t have any positive male role models in his life. His mother would like him to have someone he can talk to, teach him how to respect women, and guide him to make positive choices in life.

Hector has been waiting for a Big Brother to be his mentor and friend for over 200 days.
