Friends of the Algonquin Library Book Sale Nets $6,734 !

Community support adds value to the library.

The Friends want to thank our wonderful and supportive community for another successful book sale!

We are very appreciative of the many generous donations, the purchases of our loyal and devoted customers, and the valuable service of our dedicated members and volunteers! 

Because of you, we were able to provide two AWE:Digital Learning Stations in the Youth Services Department, 23 new meeting room tables for Harnish and Eastgate, 5 college scholarships for employees, 1000 books distributed to pre-school children at the Founder's Day Parade and for the upcoming LITH Summer Sunset Festival, the new parking lot banners, Summer Reading T-shirts, and coming soon a new library application for mobile devices called Boopsie.

We welcome your donations of fiction or non-fiction adult and children’s books, paperbacks CD’s, DVD’s and videogames!   They will be accepted at the Branch and Main libraries. For more details phone 847-458-6060 x112 or check out our website at www.aapld.org/friends

WE CANNOT USE: Magazines (including National Geographic), Readers Digest Condensed Books, Textbooks over 5 years old, Soiled/Moldy or Musty items!
