Cleaning out your closets?

Cleaning out your closets? Trade Your Old Items for “New to You” Items at the Algonquin Area Public Library District.

Cleaning out closets, drawers and shelves?  Visit the Algonquin Area Public Library at the Harnish Main Library at 2600 Harnish Drive, and exchange old items for “new to you” items.   The Library will be hosting a Puzzle Exchange, Children’s Book Swap and a Craft Exchange.

Puzzle Exchange, Sunday, January 27 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Tired of working on the same puzzles?  Bring your old puzzles, no pieces missing and in good condition, and exchange them for the same number of “new to you” puzzles.  Please drop off items beforehand, including your name, so we may have all of them ready to go.  Otherwise, please arrive at 1:30 pm to drop off puzzles before we open the doors.

Presidents’ Day Book Swap, Monday, February 18 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm

Join the Library at this Youth Services Book Swap!  Does your room have books everywhere?  Do you have books that you know you won’t read again?  Bring your gently used paperbacks to our book swap and trade your book for someone else’s.  Please note that only gently used children’s books with minimal wear and tear will be accepted at this event.  Water damaged, ink marked, torn/missing pages, coloring/activity books, etc. cannot be accepted.  Please limit the number of books you bring to 15 or less per child.

Craft Exchange, Sunday, February 24 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Do you have extra craft items sitting around?  Would you like to trade them for something new?  Package similar items, in usable condition, in see-through bags and bring them to the Library before the exchange, so we may have them arranged in advance.  Otherwise, please arrive at 1:30 pm to drop them off before we open the doors.  Please bring bags to carry home your new goodies!
