Algonquin Public Library Has an App for That!

For information at your fingertips.

The Algonquin Area Public Library would like to announce the launch of its new mobile app AAPLD Mobile, now available in the iTunes app store and the Android Market. To check out the new app, search for "AAPLD" or “Algonquin” or use your phone’s browser and connect here at http://aapld.boopsie.com

Thanks to funding from the Friends of the Library, this app is free of charge and is compatible with all web-enabled phones with clients available for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, J2ME, Palm OS, Symbian S60, and Windows Mobile.

Patrons have been able to access the Algonquin Area Public Library website for over fifteen years and today’s announcement means that our services can be better enjoyed on the move. Quick access to account information, renewals, reserving books, program registration, hours and locations contribute to a user experience that is simple, personal and optimized for smart phones.

To create greater public value, the library is working to provide new services that allow our patrons to have easy access to our digital resources on whatever platform they choose. Free library apps are also available to access our ebooks through OverDrive Media Console and when you need a valuable research tool, Gale electronic data sources are through AccessMyLibrary.
