Teen Ski/Snowboard Overnight Trip

Get your friends together, and join other teens from the Chicago area, as we spend the entire night skiing and snowboarding at Chestnut Mountain in Galena, Illinois.

This adventure is in cooperation with the Illinois Parks and Recreation Teen Committee. Lessons are included for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. All participants will be required to check-in with chaperones at designated times throughout the evening. Participants who are snowboarding are required to bring their own helmet. Please indicate on your registration form if you need a ski rental, snowboard rental, or if you are bringing your own equipment. Additional waiver forms will be distributed prior to the event for participants to complete with their parents and bring with them the night of the trip.

Participants should bring money for snacks and they are welcome to bring their own food from home. Remember to dress for the outdoors. Fee includes transportation, chaperone, and lesson. Trip takes place February 8 - 9, but Registration deadline is 1/16.

The Lake in the Hills village hall contains many of the administrative offices and departments for village government. Parks and Recreation, Finance, Community Development and Village Admininstration all have offices at Village Hall. Also, the board of trustees and other village committees meet regularly to discuss village issues here. Information on paying your water bill is available through the Finance Department and if you need to register your dog with the Bark Park, check out the parks and recreation department.
