DESCRIPTION:LEGO Machines &amp\; Mechanisms WorkshopThis hands-on course 
 provides students with an enjoyable way to enhance their knowledge of Sc
 ience\, Technology\, Engineering\, and Math by building and analyzing me
 chanisms\, vehicles\, and contraptions using the LEGO Technic building s
 ystem. They will work as young scientists\, engineers\, and designers to
  investigate scientific and engineering principles while having the fun 
 of building LEGO models. After making assumptions and predictions based 
 on general engineering principles\, the students will construct LEGO mod
 els intended to demonstrate these principles and observe if behavior mat
 ches prediction. The students will then be encouraged to reflect on thei
 r observations and consider possible redesigns if appropriate.\nThe 4-se
 ssion class is entitled MACHINES AND MECHANISMS\, and will meet 10 a.m. 
 to 11:30 a.m. on Fridays starting June 29 and ending July 27th.&nbsp\; (
 No session 7/6).&nbsp\; Anyone nine years old or older can enroll.&nbsp\
 ; Class cost is $149 per person and includes a Lego take home kit. &nbsp
 \;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; &nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Projects and objectives vary with
  each class but will often include teaching basic engineering concepts a
 nd real world challenges.&nbsp\; As students progress they will use math
  and science as they design\, build\, and test a variety of LEGO creatio
 ns.&nbsp\; Fun learning can increase your child&rsquo\;s self confidence
 .&nbsp\; Private sessions for individuals\, groups can also be arranged.
