D300 Foundation Cultural Arts on the Fox
CARPENTERSVILLE – The District 300 Foundation for Educational Excellence is proud to announce its 2nd Annual D300 Foundation Cultural Arts on the Fox. This event will take place along the Fox River in the newly renovated buildings in historical Carpentersville, Illinois. The property where this celebration will take place is the site of the old Illinois Iron & Bolt Foundry on the banks of the Fox River.
Tom Roeser, owner of Otto Engineering, has renovated this property at 11 West Main in Carpentersville and worked to restore this building to a pristine level. The original bricks from the Illinois Iron & Bolt Foundry were washed, turned and used at the current site. A large portion of the original structure is incorporated into the current design of this building.
The workmanship in each room is really breath taking and is a definite must see. This historical site will be the setting for our Cultural Arts Event and will show case some of the work our high school students are doing in voice, music, drama and visual arts.
We invite the public to an evening of music, drama and visual arts in a beautiful setting along the Fox River and see how the Main Street of Carpentersville has transformed into a picturesque setting for this unique event. Your $1 admission will be donated to the D300 Foundation which provides grants to all the District 300 schools.
Please join us on Thursday, April 26th from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and celebrate the performing and visual arts with us. The District 300 schools serve over 20,000 students in one of the largest school district's in Illinois by area.
