DESCRIPTION:June is Leave No Child Inside month\, and the Chicago Wildern
 ess alliance is celebrating by offering a series of free outdoor events 
 for families.&nbsp\;\nThe Village of Algonquin is hosting the 10th Annua
 l Conservation Community Day on Friday\, June 15 from 11:00 a.m. &ndash\
 ; 2:00 p.m. along the Woods Creek bike path from Bunker Hill Drive south
  to Woods Creek Lane (near Ted Spella Park) in Algonquin\, IL.&nbsp\;\nT
 he event\, which is free to the public\, aims to educate residents about
  how they can help preserve and protect natural resources.&nbsp\;\nActiv
 ities include making art from recycled materials and visiting booths spo
 nsored by local environmental organizations (McHenry County Conservation
  District\, McHenry County Audubon\, Environmental Defenders of McHenry 
 County\, the Land Conservancy of McHenry County\, Natural Area Volunteer
 s)\, local governmental agencies (McHenry County Health Department and W
 ater Resources Department\, Village of Algonquin Public Works\, Algonqui
 n Area Library District\, Dundee Township Open Space)\, and local compan
 ies with a &ldquo\;green&rdquo\; emphasis (Land Keepers\, Applied Ecolog
 ical Services\, Community Energy\, Waste Management).&nbsp\; Each group 
 will have a table that may include information\, volunteer opportunities
 \, hands-on activities for children\, and more.&nbsp\;\n&ldquo\;Conserva
 tion Community Day is a wonderful event to bring families out to the Woo
 ds Creek bike path to experience nature firsthand.&nbsp\; Plenty of fun 
 and educational opportunities await you\,&rdquo\; said Katie Parkhurst\,
  Senior Planner for the Village of Algonquin and organizer of the event.
 &nbsp\;\nParking is available on Bunker Hill Drive\, Woods Creek Lane\, 
 Saratoga Drive and the Algonquin Area Public Library located on Harnish
