Last summer, Jill was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. To the editor: I have worked for The Riverview for nearly two decades now. In my early years, at the original location across from Port Edward, we were accustomed to lines of people waiting on Thursday nights for our Prime Rib, Friday nights for our fish fry and Saturday nights for our Beef Ribs. My daughter is vegetarian and a junior at Jacobs High School in Algonquin. Last week I found out that our children are being forced to eat unhealthy, high-carb foods over more healthy choices, like raw vegetables and fruits. A tray lunch consists of one entrée, two sides and milk. When my daughter tried to take french fries and cucumbers as her sides, she was told she must put one vegetable back and take a pudding cup.
