Its another 'Waiting Wednesday' at Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County!
There are 38 children from around the county on our waiting list for a Big Brother or a Big Sister. Every waiting child is unique, but we believe every one of them would benefit from a postive one-to-one relationship with an adult Mentor.
Fourteen year old Mason wants to go to college, change the world for the better and help people. He also wants to be an author or screenwriter.
Mason is very gifted, and extremely bright. He loves to read and write and is working on a fiction book. Mason also likes art and plays and is in the Drama Club at school.
Mason has a lot of potential to succeed in life, but has very low self-esteem.
He lives with his father in Wonder Lake and has been waiting for a Big Brother for almost a year. Mason’s father would like a Big Brother his son can connect with and relate to. Mason would enjoy going to the library, seeing plays, or going to the movies with a Big Brother.
Do you know someone who would like to be a Mentor to Mason and help keep him on a path to success?
