A 21-year-old Lake in the Hills man faces charges for exposing himself to area women in recent weeks. 

Anthony M. Andrea, a McHenry County College student, was arrested at the campus Monday evening only hours after he exposed himself to a 46-year-old woman in the parking lot of Coventry Plaza, 35 Berkshire Drive, according to the Crystal Lake Police Department press release.



The snowy and cold winter appeared to be setting up near perfect conditions for the  41st annual Doc Haznow Chili Open. However, when park district crews set out to build the fairways on the frozen Crystal Lake this week, they found unfavorable conditions. The Crystal Lake Park District has rescheduled the event  for Saturday, Feb. 19.



The international corporate owners of Elecpac, a Cary manufacturer of glass-to-metal seals that occupies a portion of the building at 740 Industrial Drive, announced on Thursday that they are closing their Cary operation and consolidating it with an existing operation in Southbridge, Massachusetts.


The Lake Zurich High School Varsity cheerleading squad placed first in the Large Squad division in the Competitive Cheerleading Competition held in Bloomington-Normal this weekend, according to the Illinois High School Association (IHSA).




A prime piece of land, at the center of a contentious court case, owned by Grafton Township is up for sale.

Grafton Township Supervisor Linda Moore said a for sale sign was placed on the property, located on Haligus Road, recently. The township board last fall settled on a $120,000 asking price for the 2.77 acres of land located in Lake in the Hills.
