Weather-Related Cancellations: District 300 Schools Closed Friday

District 300 will have a snow day Friday.
District 300 Superintendent Michael Bregy sent out the following message to district famililes Thursday evening:
"Good evening. This is Dr. Michael Bregy, Superintendent of School District 300, calling with an important message.
Due to the inclement weather, District 300 schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, February 22.
Each principal will send a separate message before 12 noon tomorrow telling parents whether or not tomorrow’s after-school practices, performances, and competitions will be held as planned.
Please stay safe and have a great evening. Thank you.”
A winter weather advisory is in effect for McHenry County from 9 p.m. Thursday until 6 p.m. Friday. Between three to five inches of snow is expected to fall throught the area.

Yes, they will have to make today up at the end of the school year along with the day they had off because of the teachers strike.

The district calendar was changed from May 21st to the 22nd. Does this include today? We booked flights and leave for vacation May 23rd. When is 8th grade graduation? Great America trip?
