Village OKs Parking Restrictions on Lakewood in LITH
The village has received several complaints regarding motorists parking on both sides of Lakewood Road during baseball games at LeRoy Guy Park.
Parking on a small stretch of Lakewood Road near LeRoy Guy Park in Lake in the Hills will no longer be allowed.
The Lake in the Hills Village Board on Sept. 30 approved changes to the village's municipal code that would eliminate parking on the east side of Lakewood Road between Spencer Place and Annandale Drive in Lake in the Hills. Parking will still be allowed on the west side of Lakewood in the same area.
The village had received several complaints from drivers who said they were not able to safely travel through the stretch during baseball games at LeRoy Guy Park, 201 Lakewood Road, since cars parked on both sides of the street, according to a village of Lake in the Hills Board packet.
After assessing the situation, the police department, village engineer and public works officials decided the change was needed.
No parking signs will be installed and restriping will be done to establish on-street parking, according to village documents.

Does it get bad during the summer? You can always reach out to the village of Lake in the Hills to request something be done. From what I understand, resident complaints helped make the changes on Lakewood come about.
