McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputies arrest McHenry man on gun charges.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office arrested a McHenry man on Wednesday wanted on the county’s top 10 fugitive list.
The sheriff’s Apprehension Unit arrested Justin E. Dean, 21, of 4602 E. Wonder Lake Road, on charges of possession of a stolen firearm, unlawful sale of a stolen firearm, unlawful possession of a handgun, concealing and aiding a fugitive, theft and possession of a firearm with an expired Firearm Owner Identification card, deputies said.
Dean’s bond was set at $80,000.
He was wanted in connection with an investigation of a stolen firearm used in an apparent accidental shooting in Volvo in October, sheriff’s deputies said.
Deputies obtained an arrest warrant last week and found Dean at a McHenry home Wednesday where he was taken into custody without incident.
Undersheriff Andrew Zinke remains anyone with information about wanted fugitive to contact authorities with their information and do not attempt to confront the fugitive. The top 10 list is available on the sheriff’s website. Dean was listed as number seven on the list. His name will be removed from the list and a new one will be added.
