Rakow Road between Pyott and Virginia roads will be closed for 15 minutes today at 9 a.m.

The closure will allow for installation of a portion of a bike path bridge in that area, which is part of the $27 million Rakow Road construction project.

The village of Lake in the Hills sent out a notice in its airport newsletter to notify pilots about the crane being used to install beams as part of the bridgework. The construction project is within close proximity to the Lake in the Hills Airport.

The crane’s height, 103 feet, does not exceed obstruction standards made by the Federal Aviation Administration but airport officials wanted to make pilots aware of it, according to the newsletter.
