Prom Bomb or Great Night? Do You Remember?
We're asking if you remember your high school prom.
It's prom season and those memories can come rushing back.
I know it's a very special night—you're getting dressed up, your parents are so excited and it could end up being a very long and very fun night.
But I didn't like my high school prom. At 18, putting a tuxedo on was less fun than chemistry class. And I know it's an opportunity to go out to dinner with friends, but couldn't we have done that anyway?
But the real terror of prom was the dancing. I don't, and won't, dance. Bryan Adams' masterpiece "Heaven" came on and I'd sway back and forth with my date, but anything that had a beat and suddenly I had to use the restroom.
I do remember my junior year the theme was "In the Air Tonight," because of the popular Phil Collins song. I'm not sure I heard this song again until "The Hangover" came out. Senior year we were rocking out to "Set the Night to Music" by Roberta Flack and Maxi Priest. It's terrible but when I do hear it, it'll make me smile.
Some loved their prom. Some didn't go. If you remember yours, can you even share the details? And can you remember what the theme was? The big song?

Sr. prom they passed out white glove when they played a Michael Jackson song(they glowed in the black light)

I wore one of those big poofy dresses and it was magenta. There were two other girls at the dance wearing the exact same dress!

It was a great night. I had very long hair at the time and i wore a pink suit. Great times.

My senior prom theme/song was "Now and Forever" (Carole King). My date asked me what color my dress was, and upon learning it was black and white, he rented a Mickey Mouse tux to match. After the dinner/dance, we all went downtown to Second City and then took the Spirit of Chicago Moonlight cruise. It was a great night!

I loved prom. Although my kids laugh that our proms were held in the local VFW Hall in Traer, Iowa because my town didn't have anywhere else to go. Not fancy, but very fun. One year our prom theme was "Stairway to Heaven." That song goes on forever....

Went to both junior and senior prom with the same guy- still friends to this day! A bunch of us went in a large group and called ourselves the "Promsters"....great times and memories made.
