PHOTOS: Ford School Then and Now
The Lake in the Hills Historical Society has raised more than $5,000 in an effort to move an old schoolhouse from Algonquin to its original site at Ford School Park in Lake in the Hills.

Bob Spooner, president of the Lake in the Hills Historical Society, addressed members of the Village Board’s Committee of the Whole on Tuesday night to seek village assistance.
The society needs at least $15,000 to move the former Ford School building from it’s the site of the former Stonegate Nursery, 2001 W. Algonquin Road, Algonquin, to its original site at Ford School Park in Lake in the Hills.
