Patch Featured on Starbucks Digital Network

Algonquin customers will have access to local news when they log on to the network.

The next time you're sipping on your coffee and surfing the web in Starbucks, check out Algonquin's Patch on the Starbucks start page.

Last month the coffee retailer announced the launch of its Starbucks Digital Network through a partnership with Yahoo, which offers entertainment and content specific to your neighborhood.

As users log on to the digital network, the My Neighborhood channel will offer a direct connection to that specific Starbucks location's Patch.com website, according to the coffee company. So patrons will be able to get Patch feeds on all stories pertaining to that neighborhood while they are in the coffee shop.

Other neighborhood sites that will be featured on the network include: Zagat, Foursquare and DonorsChoose.org. There will also be free online access to national news organizations like The Wall Street Journal and USA Today.
