A McHenry County man was arrested and charged Tuesday for allegedly abusing a minor.

Timothy J. Gurske, 32, of 5904 Bunny Avenue in McHenry was charged Jan. 31 with aggravated battery (Class 3 Felony) and domestic battery (Class A Misdemeanor) after members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau received information from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services regarding Gurske physically abusing a minor family member.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a joint investigation between the two agencies resulted in the charges against Gurske.

Gurske was transported to the McHenry County Adult Correctional Facility, had bond set at $40,000 and given a Feb. 10 court date.
