The McHenry County College baseball team is working like a well-oiled machine these days. Having just defeated Elgin Tuesday afternoon, the Scots have now won nine of the their last 10 games.
In Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference action the Scots (14-7; 3-1) defeated the rival Elgin Community College Spartans 6–5 and 3–2 in two hard-fought, wind-blown, down to the wire games.
In the top of the sixth in game two, the Scots cut down the tying ECC runner at the plate with a perfect centerfield to catcher relay to re-gain the momentum.
After losing six of their first nine games, the Scots look to keep the momentum going this Saturday when they travel to Cicero to take on Morton.
The Scots will then host Oakton Tuesday, April 10, at 2:30 p.m.
