FInd Out How Much Algonquin, LITH Spent on Adult Halloween Costumes Last Year

American adults spent $512.1 million on adult Halloween costumes in 2011, according to Crain's.

 

Adults in America spent $512.1 million on their Halloween costumes in 2011, according to Crain's Chicago Business. That's $100 million more than was spent on child costumes last year. 

Crystal Lake residents spent $149,321 for their Halloween garb while Cary folks dished out $73,038 for costumes. Algonquin grown-ups spent $98,339, and Lake in the Hills residents spent $70,747 for theirs.

By contrast, Woodstock households spent $64,737, Marengo spent $26,389 while Union spent $3,991, according to data Crain's gathered. Here's how other towns in the region compare:
