Elgin Man Killed in Barrington Hills Crash
Four others were injured in the crash that happened on Route 59 near Route 68 on March 3.
A 61-year-old Elgin man was killed in a car crash in Barrington Hills Sunday afternoon, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Ronald Ziolo was driving southbound on Route 59, south of Dundee Road, when a Barrington Hills 18-year-old driving an SUV hit Ziolo’s car head on. Ziolo’s car was also hit from the rear when the crash happened. The Chicago Tribune reports the teen driver sideswiped another southbound car just before crashing into Ziolo’s vehicle.
Four other people were hospitalized as a result of the crash with non-life threatening injuries, the Daily Herald reports. No charges have been filed. An investigation into what happened is still ongoing.

I hope they post a follow up on the results of the investigation. This could have been anyone of us that day. Very sad.
