Community School District 47 has cancelled all evening school-related activities for Thursday due to the approaching winter storm.
Superintendent Donn Mendoza on Thursday morning issued a statement through the district's automated alert system saying all after-school events, sports, and activities will proceed as planned.
However, any events such as holiday concerts, games or parent-teacher meetings scheduled for Thursday evening are cancelled due to the anticipated bad weather, the statement said.
Community High School District 155
All high school activities scheduled after 5 p.m. Thursday are cancelled due to the weather, according to District 155 Communications Director Jeff Puma.
