D300 Wants YOU to Vote for Its New Logo

The new logo will be unveiled in August 2011; voting is opening until June 1.

D300 is looking for a new image.

Recently the public was invited to submit design concepts for a new logo to represent District 300. According to a press release, 62 people submitted a total of 87 designs.

Now the search for a new logo has been narrowed down to just 10, and the public gets to vote on which logo will represent the district. The semifinalists that were designed by parents, students and stafff members are attached to this article as a PDF.

Public voting began last week and will run through June 1. D300 leaders will then decide the overall winner from the top three designs, as decided by the public.

To cast your vote, go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CUSD300logo. Voting is limited to one vote per person.

The new logo will be unveiled in August 2011.  It will be gradually phased in over the next couple of years.

Why is District 300 wasting time and money on this? What is wrong with the old logo? It is no like they need to compete with anyone for customers.
