Algonquin, Lake in the Hills Crime Reports

Sept. 4

12:37 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police received a report of fraudulent prescriptions being used at Walgreens, 100 N. Randall Road in Lake in the Hills. The report was under investigation by the reporting officer.

Sept. 5

11:23 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Armando Magallance, 32, at the Algonquin Police Department, 5200 Harnish Drive in Algonquin, for no valid driver's license and speeding. Magallance of Carpentersville was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Oct. 10 in McHenry County.  

12:18 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Blake A. Kube, 25, in the 800 block of South Randall Road in Algonquin for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. Kube, of 1354 Cunat Court, Apt. 3C in Lake in the Hills, was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Oct. 10 in McHenry County.

6:59 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Raymond J. Douglas, 46, in the first block of Lincoln Street on two counts of domestic battery. Douglas, of 26 Lincoln St. in LITH, was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.

Sept. 6

2:28 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Mary Beth Martinez, 31, on two counts of battery at 6341 Pine Hollow in Carpentersville. Martinez, of 1 Shade Tree Court in Algonquin, was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Oct. 4 in Kane County.

7:38 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Luis Acevedo, 55, at Edward Street and Harrison Street in Algonquin for no valid driver's license and improper backing. Acevedo of Carpentersville was released after posting $150 and is expected in court in McHenry County on Oct. 17.

9:50 a.m.: Lake in the Hills police arrested a 12-year-old Lake in the Hills girl for possession of marijuana less than 2.5 grams at Marlowe Middle School, 9625 Haligus Road. The girl was later released to a parent.

11:56 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Timothy R. Hastings, 28, in the 500 block of Delaware Drive in LITH for harassment of a witness. Hastings, of 535 Delaware Drive in LITH, was turned over to McHenry County Jail.

2:16 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Mark Allen, 45, in the 1800 block of South Randall Road for retail theft. Allen, of 765 Elderberry Court in Lake in the Hills, was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court in Algonquin on Oct. 31.

3:35 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Mark Allen, 45, at Dominick's, 101 N. Randall Road in LITH, for retail theft. Allen, of 765 Elderberry Court in LITH, was later released on bond.

Sept. 7

4:03 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Alexander J. Robson, 19, at Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road in LITH, on a warrant out of McHenry County for failure to appear for damage to property and possession of drug paraphernalia. Robson, of 9921 Bedord Drive in Huntley, was taken to McHenry County Jail.

Sept. 8

4:44 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police responded to Moretti's, 220 N. Randall Road, for a battery report between two men.

5:46 a.m.: Lake in the Hills police received a report from Walgreens, 100 N. Randall Road in LITH, of a theft of two cases of beer. The report was under investigation by the reporting officer.

2:39 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested David Grodny, 19, in the 10 block of Indian Trail in Lake in the Hills for possession of stolen property. Grodny, of 19 Indian Trail in Lake in the Hills, was later released on bond.

6:57 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Danielle D. Jaeger, 18, and a 17-year-old McHenry girl at Gordman's, 1500 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, for retail theft. Jaeger of McHenry and the 17-year-old were both released on a notice to appear and are expected in court on Oct. 31 in Algonquin.

7:32 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Emily Afanador, 22, of Carpentersville on a warrant out of McHerny County for a traffic offense. He was later released on bond.

10:40 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Christopher J. Atterberg, 18, at Celebration Park, 5507 McKenzie Drive in Lake in the Hills, for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released on bond.

Sept. 9

4:32 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Roberto Lara, 31, at Route 62 and Route 31 in Algonquin for driving while license revoked and no proof of insurance. Lara of McHenry was relesaed after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Oct. 17 in McHenry County.

7:01 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested a 17-year-old Crystal Lake girl for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor at Pyott Road and Algonquin Road in Lake in the Hills. The girl was released to a parent.

8:57 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Demitrius C. Kaplantzes, 19, at the Lake in the Hills Police Department, 1115 Crystal Lake Road, for possession of a controlled substance. Kaplantzes of Bartlett was taken to the McHenry County Jail.

Sept. 10

7:31 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Andrzej Golosz, 37, at Randall Road and Acorn Lane in Lake in the Hills for no valid Illinois license, expired registration and no insurance. Golosz, of 128 Polaris Drive in Lake in the Hills, was later released on bond.
