Conley, Mackeben Students Buddy Up; Share Benefits of Reading

Reading is much more rewarding when you have a buddy.
That's what students from Mackeben Elementary School and Conley Elementary School learned in recent weeks as they participated in the school's Buddy Program.
The buddy program pairs fifth grade students from Conley with kindergarten students from Mackeben. The fifth grade students read to the younger students during a recent Buddy Program meeting, according to a District 158 press release.
"The experience provides children with stimulating opportunities for learning and skill development," according to the press release.
