Parents from Conley are asking for the public's help in voting in the "Calling All Communities" challenge through U.S. Cellular, which awards thousands of dollars to the schools with the most votes.
Conley Elementary School needs your help.
The school is looking for the public to vote in a nationwide contest, the Calling All Communities challenge through U.S. Cellular, that could mean thousands of dollars in cash for the school, said Shelly Walsh, parent of second-grade and fourth-grade student at Conley.
The challenge awards $150,000 to the school with the most votes. The second through 18th place schools win $50,000 each. Voting continues through Oct. 21 and kindergarten through 12th grade schools can participate.
As of Oct. 16, Conley was in 11th place, according to U.S. Cellular press release.
Those interested in voting can visit a U.S. Cellular location to get a vote card. The vote cards can be used to vote on U.S. Cellular's website.
You can search on the U.S. Cellular store. Here is a list of local U.S. Cellular locations:

Conley Elementary School, 750 Academic Drive in Algonquin, ranked in eighth place in the challenge as of Sept. 24, according to the U.S. Cellular website. Walsh said she hopes more residents and parents of Conley students will show their support by voting in the final weeks of the contest.
Conley Elementary School is hoping to use any cash winnings to purchase new SMART boards for its classrooms, Walsh said.
