Child Support Case Against Joe Walsh Resolved

Congressman Joe Walsh was accused by his ex-wife of owing $17,000 in child support.

The ongoing child support case against Congressman Joe Walsh has been dismissed.

Walsh's ex-wife, Laura Walsh, accused him of owing $17,000 in child support for their three children now 24, 21 and 17. She said she had been to court several times over the past ten years over the issue. Joe Walsh denied her claims, calling them "untrue".

Joe and Laura Walsh issued a joint statement today, saying they both regret what happened.

"We both regret this public misunderstanding and the effect it has had on our children.  Like many families, we have had our share of issues and made our share of mistakes over the years.  Having resolved these issues together and cleared up these mistakes in private, we now agree that Joe is not and was not a "deadbeat dad" and does not owe child support.  We both have been loving and devoted parents to our children, ages 24, 21, and 17, and are happy to avoid a public legal fight hurtful to our entire family and look forward to caring for our children in private," the statement read.

While I respect the privacy of both Joe and Laura Welsh, the sealed resolution does not let us know which, if either, party was correct all along. It would be helpful to the voters in order to make an informed decision about Joe's character.

Guy’s still a scumbag. He pays his wife off and she agrees to keep it private...it's really not that hard to wrap your head around it. But his supporters are acting like he has been 100% vindicated- real shocker there.

The body of this story is incorrect in its assertion that William "Call Me Joe" Walsh owed a mere $17K to Laura Walsh - he owed $117K !

Please amend the mistake in the body of this article so it reflects reality.

It makes NO DIFFERENCE what type of "joint statement" Deadbeat Joe's lawyers forced Laura to agree to - the fact remains Deadbeat Joe owed the cash, still owes the cash, and it paying it off per the original court order.

RepubliKlan lies, even when they are repeated again and again and again do not make the truth go away.
