Blotter: Local Woman Arrested in Domestic Battery

Lake in the Hills police responded to several reports from Thursday through Sunday.

 

Injury Accident

Police responded to a one-vehicle crash with injuries at Randall and Miller roads at 1:40 a.m. Sunday. The report is under investigation. 

Battery

Police responded to Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria, 220 N. Randall Road, at 3:04 a.m. Sunday for a report of a battery between two males. Police also responded at 3:08 a.m. to the restaurant for a report of a battery between two males. 

Assist Ambulance

Police responded to the 400 block of Village Creek Drive for a report of a 19-month-old boy who had an injury from a fall. He was not transported by ambulance to an area hospital. 

Driving While License Revoked

Police arrested a 31-year-old Lake in the Hills man at Lakewood and Miller roads at 8:23 a.m. Saturday on charges of driving while license revoked, operating a motor vehicle with revoked registration, improper use of registration and driving without insurance. He later was released on bond. 

Ambulance Called to Moretti's

Police received a report at 2:11 a.m. Saturday of a 25-year-old woman at Moretti's who was unconscious but breathing. She was taken to Sherman Hospital. 

Hit and Run

Police received a report of an unknown vehicle that hit a parked vehicle in the 800 block of Jessie Road at 5:03 a.m. Saturday. Property was damaged in the crash. The accident report remains under investigation. 

Driving With No Valid Driver's License

Police arrested a 27-year-old Crystal Lake woman at Acorn Lane and Randall Road at 6:50 p.m. Friday on charges of driving with no valid driver's license and disregarding a traffic-control device. She later was released on bond. 

Accidents After Snowfall Friday

Police responded to eight different vehicle crashes in Lake in the Hills on Friday. Snowfall in the area made some roadways snow-covered and slick throughout the day. 

One of the crashes was a three-vehicle injury accident at Virginia Road and Route 31. A 15-year-old girl was taken to an area hospital with a hand injury. A 54-year-old man was taken to Northern Illinois Medical Center for a neck injury. 

The police department also responded to the following accidents: 

  • A vehicle collided with a median at Randall Road and Acorn Lane at 1:48 p.m. Friday. Property was damaged in the crash. 
  • Two vehicles collided at Lowe's, 300 Randall Road, at 2:21 p.m. Friday. Property was damaged in the crash. 
  • Property was damaged in a one-vehicle crash at Randall Road and Acorn Lane at 4:25 p.m. Friday. 
  • Two vehicles collided at Route 31 and Virginia Road at 4:25 p.m. Friday. Property was damaged in the accident. 
  • Two vehicles collided at Route 31 and Virginia Road at 4:25 p.m. Friday. Property was damaged in the accident. 
  • Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at AMC Showplace, 311 N. Randall Road, at 7:20 p.m. Friday. Property was damaged in the accident. 
  • Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 400 block of Wright Drive at 8:45 p.m. Property was damaged in the accident. 

Disorderly Conduct

Police received a report of a disorderly conduct at Steak ’n Shake, 211 N. Randall Road, after receiving a threatening phone call about 11:02 p.m. Friday.

Domestic Battery

Police responded to the 600 block of Wedgewood Circle at 2:31 p.m. Thursday and arrested a 31-year-old Lake in the Hills woman on a charge of domestic battery. She was taken to McHenry County Jail.
