ALGONQUIN POLICE BLOTTER
Criminal Damage to Property
Police arrested a 13-year-old Algonquin boy for criminal damage to property at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive in Algonquin at 12:55 p.m. on Aug. 7. The boy was released to the custody of his parents.
Retail Theft
Police arrested two 15-year-old Algonquin girls for retail theft at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, at 4:50 p.m. on Aug. 7. They were released on a notice to appear. Both girls are next expected in court on Sept. 26 in Algonquin.
Speeding
Police arrested a 17-year-old Hampshire boy for speeding and no valid driver's license at Algonquin Road and Talaga Drive in Algonquin at 12:09 a.m. on Aug. 8. He was released on a notice to appear after posting his Illinois Driver's License. He is next expected in court in McHenry County on Sept. 19.
Failure to Notify After Striking an Unattended Vehicle
Police arrested Syeda A. Fatima, 19, for failure to notify after striking an unattended vehicle at 1804 S. Randall Road in Algonquin at 1:29 p.m. on Aug. 8. She was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Sept. 4 in McHenry County.
Retail Theft
Police arrested Cheyenne M. Hoover, 20, at retail theft at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, at 4:04 p.m. on Aug. 8. She was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court in Algonquin on Sept. 26.
Retail Theft, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Police arrested a 16-year-old Algonquin girl at Kohl's, 734 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, at 4:50 p.m. on Aug. 9 for retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of her parents. Also taken into custody during the same incident was a 17-year-old Algonquin girl who was charged with retail theft. She was referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of her parents.
LAKE IN THE HILLS BLOTTER
Public Indecency
Police arrested a 17-year-old Lake in the Hills boy in the 200 block of Mohawk Trail in Lake in the Hills at 11:49 a.m. on Aug. 6 on two counts of public indecency. He was later released to a parent.
DUI
Police arrested Vincent M. Valenziano, 21, for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content greater than .08 and improper lane usage at Fairway View Drive and Algonquin Road in Algonquin at 12:34 a.m. on Aug. 7. Valenziano, of 11624 E. Main St. Apt. 3A, was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.
Warrant
Police arrested Pedro Juan Garcia, 22, on a warrant out of McHenry County for failure to appear on disorderly conduct at Algonquin Road and Harvest Gate at 9:06 a.m. on Aug. 7. Garcia of Chicago was later released on bond.
Driving While License Suspended
Police arrested Sung I Kim, 61, for driving while license suspended at Dominick's, 101 N. Randall Road, at 10:18 a.m. on Aug. 8. Kim of Schaumburg was later released on bond.
Domestic Battery
Police arrested John V. Ponte, 30, on two counts of domestic battery, reckless conduct and endangering the health/life of a child at the Lake in the Hills Police Department, 1115 Crystal Lake Road in Lake in the Hills, at 11:02 p.m. on Aug. 9. Ponte, of 2930 Banbury Lane in LITH, was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.
