The Lake in the Hills Police Department reports from the weekend.
Lake in the Hills police arrested a 27-year-old Hoffman Estates man Friday evening for retail theft at Dominick's, 101 N. Randall Road. He was taken to McHenry County Jail.
A 46-year-old Lake in the Hills woman was taken into custody Friday around 7:50 p.m. on two counts of domestic battery. She was arrested in the 10 block of Wander Way and taken to the McHenry County Jail.
Lake in the Hills police conducted a follow-up arrest of a 14-year-old Lake in the Hills boy for a charge of theft under $300. He was later released to a parent.
Police took a report of theft in the 500 block of Cheyenne Drive around 9:21 a.m. Friday. The complainant said jewelry was taken three weeks ago. The report was turned over to investigations.
Vehicle Collides With Ambulance
A vehicle collided with an ambulance near Algonquin and Lakewood roads around 10:08 p.m. Friday. Only property was damaged in the crash.
A 23-year-old Crystal Lake man was pulled over near Hemlock Street and Three Oaks Road around 2:28 a.m. Saturday. The man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while suspended, not having any valid insurance, disobeying a traffic device and speeding. He was later released on bond.
A 23-year-old Loves Park man was arrested at Moretti's, 220 N. Randall Road, around 2:52 a.m. Saturday on two counts of battery. He was later released on bond.
Criminal Damage to Vehicle
A vehicle parked in the 2900 block of Geneva Lane had its window shattered. The report was made to police around 2:25 a.m. Saturday.
One woman was taken to Sherman Hospital with a head injury following a five-vehicle crash reported at Adventist Fellows, 9240 Trinity Drive, around 11:40 a.m. Saturday.
Lake in the Hills police are investigating a report of an iPod touch that was taken. The report was made around 2:59 p.m. Saturday.
Drunken Driving, Drug Charges
A 32-year-old Shorewood man was arrested at Costco, 260 N. Randall Road, around 2:13 am. Sunday for driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana under 2.5 grams. He was later released on bond.
The Lake in the Hills Police Department responded to the 4600 block of Courntey Drive around 2:19 p.m. Sunday to assist the fire department with a grass fire.
