Blotter: Child Left Unattended; Drunken Driving Arrest

Lake in the Hills Police Department reports for Friday and Saturday.

 

Drunken Driving Charge

A 22-year-old Lake in the Hills woman was pulled over in the area of Algonquin Road and Pyott Road around 4:01 a.m. Saturday. She was arrested on a drunken driving charge. She was also cited for improper lane use, driving with an uninsured motor vehicle and for not having a driver's license on her. She was later released on bond.

Man Arrested for Theft, Drug Charges

A 34-year-old Belvidere man was arrested at Dominick's, 101 N. Randall Raod, Sunday night on retail theft and drug charges. The man was arrested around 9:50 p.m. for retail theft under $300, attempting to obstruct a peace officer, driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the McHenry County Jail.

Vehicle vs. Deer Accident

A 70-year-old woman was involved in a vehicle accident with a deer around 8:52 a.m. Saturday. The woman hit her head but was not taken to a hospital.

Child Left at Walgreens

The police were called to Walgreens, 100 N. Randall Road, around 11 p.m. Saturday for a report of a child that was left unattended. The reported was turned over to the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

Police are investigating a report that items were stolen from vehicle(s) in the 20 block of Echo Hill. Police were called around 4:31 p.m. Friday for a report that an iPod was taken from a vehicle. Police received another call around 5:10 p.m. that a GPS and iPod were taken from a vehicle. It's unclear from the Lake in the Hills Police Department's daily bulletin if the reports were in regards to the same vehicle or different vehicles in the 20 block of Echo Hill. The burglary or burglaries are under investigation.
