Algonquin Police: DUI, Warrant, Theft Arrests

Police reports from the week of March 3-5.

 

 

Note: The following information was obtained from Algonquin Police Department arrest reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

 

Machesney Man Faces DUI Charges

Nicholas W. Dahle, 26, of 6489 Harvest Lane, Machesney Park, was charged with driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level over .08, no proof of insurance and improper lane use, police said.  He was taken into custody at Commons Drive and Randall Road on March 3.  He was released after posting $100 and his Illinois Driver’s License, with a court date of April 10 in McHenry County.

Police Arrest CL Man on Warrant

Walter C. Sander, 28, of 245 Main Street, Crystal Lake, was wanted on a warrant, out of McHenry County for criminal damage to property, police said. Sander was taken into custody March 4 at Route 62 and Lake Cook Road.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of March 20 in McHenry County.

Battery Charge

Matthew J. Stepansky, 38, of 1124 Ash Street, Carpentersville, was charged with battery, police said. Stepansky was taken into custody in the 4100 block of Bunker Hill Drive on March 4.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of April 10 in McHenry County.

Walmart Theft

 Edmund S. Zydek, 39, of 1034 Goldenglow Road, Genoa City, Wis., was charged with retail theft from Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road on March 4, police said. He was released on a Notice to Appear, with a court date of 04/24/13, in Algonquin.

Algonquin Man Charged with Theft

David B. Blumenthal, 24, of 826 Elm Street, Algonquin, was charged with retail theft, according to police. Blumenthal was taken into custody at Main Street and Front Street on March 5. He was released after posting $150, with a court date of April 10 in McHenry County.
